Nice job. I heard the original version of this song in the 50's, then it disappeared. I'm glad its back. I also found a freind's name on the Vietnam Memorial ... I hope war will become an outmoded method of "diplomacy".

I love this song. When I was a kid my sister won this 45 form a radio station, and all of us 9 kids love it. I've finally found it. Than you so much for having put it on YOU TUBE. Excellent

Living in Pitsburgh PA in 1966 I was 8yrs old. My mom had been out at some night club and meet frankie Laine. He gave her a 45 record of Johny Willow and autographed it. She gave it to me and I played it over and over. Some were through the decades it has gotten lost. Im so glad "markalson1938" uploaded the song.
THANK YOU

@FUGLYSNOOPYCAT This song recorded by Frankie in 1966 got
no air play on radio stations in the U.S. as it was one of only a few
Pro Vietnam recordings. I learned that the song was much older than the war.
The words were changed to fit the time.
