Highly Important 7.42 Carat Golconda Diamond Ring
An extremely rare and highly important Internally Flawless Golconda diamond, weighing an amazing 7.42 carats, is the star of this splendid ring. Known as the Ultimate Diamond, this glorious cushion-cut diamond is certified by the Gemological Institute of America. It is, by all standards, one of the very finest diamonds in the world, and as a D-color diamond, one of the rarest. In fact, only 1 in 1000 gem-quality stones can be classified as D-color, the whitest color in which diamonds are ever found. Because it lacks any trace of nitrogen, a D-color Golconda is a full two shades whiter than any other diamond known. Set in an exquisitely engraved platinum band, it literally glows.

Golconda diamonds are known throughout the world as the purest of all diamonds, possessing a level of clarity, purity and transparency unrivaled by any other diamond. Because they hailed from only one mine in the ancient region of Golconda, that ceased production hundreds of years ago, these perfect stones are exceptionally rare, with only a relative handful known to exist. Among the most outstanding diamonds found at the mines of Golconda are the legendary Hope Diamond, and the Darya-ye Noor and Koh-i-noor diamonds, the exemplary and world renowned stones which form part of the Iranian and British Crown Jewels, respectively.

  • @MrFreezewithYelloIce You may not care a year later, but the reason they have a classification higher than D is the stones completely lack Nitrogen. That is what is responsible for giving a stone its color. It is incredibly rare to find a stone of this quality but most of them come from Golconda.

  • I wanted to ask as well, how can your Golconda Diamond have a greater color than D. I am very interested to know since I love reading, studying, and looking at diamonds. Thanks!

  • i find your jewelery department has some of the most wonderful diamonds I can find on the internet, ect. I am 22 years old, have fell in love with diamonds when I started looking around for an engagement ring when I was 19. I envy your job and one day I wish I have the opportunity to overlook such a amazing jewelery department such as yours.
