  • I admire your process but , I used just the toothpaste, a little rubbing with a sock, and rinsed with cool water. My oxidated headlamps shined like brand new. The whole process took less than 10 minutes on both headlamps. I used Colgate and it worked great. Your procedure w. the buffing, windex, toothpaste etc, may be needed for badly oxidated headlamps. I did my neighbors Dodge Neon and her headlamps were far worse than yours and I simply applied the toothpaste, scrubbed and rinsed. Thanks

  • @mycatstoki Yeah im lazy! No scrubbing for me. LOL

  • I don't think the window cleaner is necessary. Good idea just incase but...

Toothpaste doesn't even "whiten" teeth. All toothpaste mainly is, is baking soda or a solution of such called Scope. Baking soda doesn't break down as much or as fast as many other compounds. Buying the professional abrasive cleaners is doing just the same job as toothpase, cleaning by abrasion.

Nice vid! Should include a video of cleaning the inside! (:

  • @NelsonBC12 Yes its just about the abrasive quality of the toothpaste. The window cleaners more about cleaning up the toothpaste then anything.

  • Easier to cover plates with a piece of paper, rather then removing.. :)

  • @whatsdare are you talking about license plates? We do not have front plates here just back.

  • better but not great... i used the 3m; only 16 bucks from Amazon... my headlights look freakin awesome...

  • me too i use this for my 99 dodge neon is work very good

  • @NelsonBC12 Toothpaste contains silica which acts as an abrasive on your teeth. That's why it works for headlights.

  • Magic!!! Good job, thanks.

  • Good. I just wouldn't rest the buffer on the hood of the car, especially if it did not belong to me. Just sayin. I'll give the toothpaste a try, thanks.

  • get a new car

  • Availible in 1080p?? what kind of camera is that?

  • @TheGaybtm18md canada ontaraio needs both plates where as canada quebec only needs the rear and same with albera ontario

  • That is so cool, I'm going outside right now and try it. Thanks for posting this.
