Only Starfleet Admiral Jean-Luc Picard should be Retrieved from the Future and brought back in Time to Counsel Young Captain James T. Kirk on the Perils of Command. Knowing our Other "Heroes" are out there and Safe would be Neat and Fun. No one But Picard could give advice to young Kirk on the dangers of Command . Picard could bring up as an example one of the Battles and set of Dangers he faced as the New Commander of the Old USS Stargazer.
Starfleet Ships vs. The Borg will happen Sooner.

@Johnlindsey289 Actually I'm a Trekkie, hard core, who loved it. It was everything I had hoped it would be! Not dumb down, not about flashy lens flares, but into the human adventure and into those who are Kirk, Spock, and the ship named Enterprise.
-
So your a Trekkie? and do you think people don't want to think anymore? they want cake right?
-
@Johnlindsey289 Yeah, the moron generation lol.

I remember looking forward to this movie for YEARS....then when it came out...meh. Guess I hyped it up in my head so much the real thing couldn't deliver.
-
Brilliant movie, i know trekkies hate this one but this is for a new generation remember?

I like the way people think that history was re-written. Lol. All that happened was an alternate timeline was created, so stop fretting.
-
It was a great film but..... I was greatly disappointed that it completely rewrote the history of star trek with the destruction of Vulcan.

This movie absolutely sucked eggs... And yet I still loved it. When I saw in theatres, I described it thusly, "It's as if a group of amatuer-dramatics actors who also happened to be massive Trekkies (think the cast of fan productions like Star Trek: Excalibur) were given an infinite budget and a special effects department who were all stoned out of their minds and just... went... nuts."
As I said, terrible film, but definitely a case of "So Bad, It's Good." I thoroughly enjoyed seeing it...
Nothing, NOTHING is more fun than angry fanboys.

As fans we've 2 main rules for a new film in the StarTrek franchise:
1) Must be faithful to Roddenberry ethos of a positive, evolved future for humanity, &
2) It should adhere to canon.
If it strays a bit, I can probably accept it. Especially, if it wins a new generation to Roddenberry's vision. So, as long as we avoid a 90210 in Space & the continuity flaws aren't extreme, it could be great. I'll w/hold judgment until then.
May the Great Bird of the Galaxy roost on your Home Planet!
