Network Description: "Chase DeLuca, an enterprising 24-year-old, makes his living as a computer consultant, but his real passion is music. For the past two years, he has been living with his parents in their three-bedroom, three-bath, 1,350-square-foot condo in Sun Valley, Calif. He has enjoyed his folks' hospitality, but at 24, he really feels it's time to leave the nest. He has a budget in the $500,000 to $600,000 range. Because he hopes to have several roommates to help with the mortgage, he hopes to get at least four bedrooms, three baths and 2,000 square feet. Also on the wish list is a kitchen big enough to accommodate two refrigerators, one for him and a backup for his hungry 20-something pals. To make his search hum along, he's turning to friend and realtor Brock Harris. Will Chase's search end on a high note or fall flat?"

I bought the house to share with my buddies in the a cappella group that I co-founded at CSUN, Acasola.

  • he is relying on his parents to come to the rescue of the planned disaster - of course his parents will see straight through it - no one likes to be manipulated. oh what a smart boy - the kind of deceiptful person you would want to help to carry on the dynasty of clearly defective genes.

  • I'm not really sure where you guys get this stuff. Did you get hurt in a bad real estate transaction, in the past? As it happens, it's been working out great, actually. It's been 24 months since I bought the house, and I'm at full occupancy: 8 people in 7 bedrooms. Only 1 person is from 2 years ago, all the rest are turnover. You see, the singing group keeps bringing in new members, so I keep getting new renters! Best business decision I ever made.

  • @chasedeluca Really? I suppose I too will get a large home. I worried about not finding people to rent...Do you still have renters?

  • @Ariegiggles Sure do. In fact, I have two more homes, now, with a combined total of 20 renters in 17 bedrooms. I'm doing just fine :-)

  • @chasedeluca You are a natural landlord! Thank you for your response. What is the worst tenant you have ever had?

  • @Ariegiggles The worst tenant I ever had was while I was managing someone else's home. She basically had unreasonable expectations. But that's a major part of my job: managing expectations. In that situation, because it was someone else's home, I wasn't there from the beginning to manage her expectations, and thus things got out of control. I no longer manage that house--I quit because it was too much stress/work for not enough money.

  • how did you even get on this show?

  • @chasedeluca Mmm...So uh....Are ya single?

  • Tht'd be weird living with them, if they keep braking into song every 5 minutes....

  • That's awesome that you bought a house at such a young age! Jeez people, he majored in business. I think he knows what he's doing. Because the house is so close to campus, he'll always have renters, even if his a cappella group breaks up.

  • i love this show and hgtv. and i'm 18 loll...HGTV ROCKS
