My build from the plans in Ken Schweim's book "Wood Automata Projects" is entirely made from wood except for a few small metal pins and screws. Called SKI GUY it is an animated model of a cross country skier driven manually via a set of wooden gears and levers. It took two weeks to build working a few hours each day.
