i hope that one day the author kim newman would use ed wood as a vampire in one of his anno dracula stories. lugosl would'nt be there since in the anno dracula universe he died in 1918 but still...

I think the lady is a kick. She was blacklisted in a time when politically correct was the govt's mo no the publics. My grandmother received a letter of apology from McCarthy. Maila had brains and beauty and she could dance. And listen to her speaking voice. She could have been trained to sing.

If you ask me she was blacklited because of the times she lived in. She had the misfortune to be living in the 1950's. Now If she where alive and well and using that look She would be a huge success. The Goth kids would adore Her. But alas she tried to exspress Her creativity in the most idiotic decade of the 20th century.

@Adler36 Right you are about the progression of female horror characters. But 'Odd' may be the wrong word . 'Copycats' would be better. Maila Nurmi was an original.
