@YouRk0ed11 R32's and R34's are illegal. The ones legal now are the R33's from 1996-1998.
In 2014, R32's built in 1989 will be legal since all cars that are 25 years or older don't have to meet NHTSA standards.

@Aliasify Sorry seems like my comment replies dont go to my email address anymore.. Neways. From what you have just told me. Nissan UK never dealer sold Skylines. As R32SKYLINEBWD said they were imported via a private company NOT Nissan... Afaik There were afew R32 skylines built in Australia and sold in Australia

@nontap r32's are legal.

@Aliasify ah right just looked it up. they were built in japan and imported over by middlehurst who modified them with oil coolers to make them 'uk' spec. yh more than likely had a remap for uk fuel aswel.

@R32SKYLINEBWD i have a UK one and from what i can see thefront bumper is different, they have oil cooler fitted and diff coolers under the car. The ecu is also played with from what i`ve been told for UK fuel

Skylines were never sold outside of Japan due to an agreement with Mercedes Benz. But it does not stop you from importing one like every other country. America just happens to be in the not know how. What needs to be done by American dealers is a Motorex crash-test, USDOT and EPA-approved. This means You need to crash test 1 car of each type eg r32 r33 r34. Australia has done their crash test on all range hence why we have import dealers and an endless flow of skylines

ever stop to consider the fact that A) this might be a customer car that they don't want to beat on too much (seeing as how bongaa down there claims to have bought the thing), or perhaps B) it's a freshly built engine that still needs breaking in (hence the short shifting) and/ or tuning? Also, calm down, it's just a video. Nothing to get so worked up over.
