One thing pisses me off about this. Evil Dead 2 DOES NOT HAVE A SOUNDTRACK! in the book it originally was Reservoir Dogs. which makes more sense because that sound track does kick fucking ass.

recaps aren't whole movies. If i see a sequel that has a recap of the first movie, it usually interests me into watching the first movie. There is a very specific scene in Evil Dead 2 that takes place immediately after the ending of Evil Dead, thus continuing the story.

Not really then people wouldnt watch the previous movie and why would they want that. Work with me here, !!SPOILERS!! at the end of The Evil Dead Ash dies then the movie gets very popular. Sam Raimi thinks shit I shouldnt have killed him I will just make the movie again because we have more money now and a bigger audience. Another reason is The Evil Dead is much more of a serious horror movie and Evil Dead II is more of a slapstick horror comedy. Sequels dont change the movie genre so crazily

evil dead 2 is not a remake. lots of sequels have recaps of the previous movie.

Connel Soutar Since this is a scene glorifying a semantic argument, I'll weigh in. My friend sexymexijesse is saying that Evil Dead 2 doesn't have a soundtrack it has a score, done with an orchestra. Reservoir Dogs, the original reference from the book DOES have a soundtrack and it DOES kick fucking ass. Can we have peace now?
