Excellent Video. I guess like they say in myth busters the Theory of "You will drown if you wear waders and capsize your Yak" is BUSTED. Thanks for the informative video...

Terrific video Jim. It helped prompt me to finally buy a pair of waders last week.
Now to see if they'll help me kill more yellowtail! :D

its alot differnt whilst fishing and wading the other day i sliped and was submersed and the water that was in my waders about the belt was enough to make it difficult to stand back up, very scary to say the least and ive had to pysicly drag my buddies who where not wearing a belt out of the water but then again we do wear looser warders than what you are wearing

The wading belt is key, and with the addition of the paddle jacket on top you get almost no water in the waders. Add the PFD and it is a safe system. Again it is very important that you can do a self rescue so you spend as little time in the water as possible.

I just spent the past week in Chesapeake bay and it is real cold there. The waders with layers of warm clothing made it very comfortable

What brand and model were the waders, does it matter?
