I love Green Day before and I love them now as well. Is it so wrong to write great slow songs? The Ramones made pop songs as well.

dee dee ramone wrote this back then cause the (the ramones) were pretty much the only band of their kind during that time. this was around that same time they gave up all hopes of becoming a mainstream success like joey wanted so bad after their previous album got such a shitty response. after that the ramones really became an inspiration- as this song cover shows.
