the current flag is an embarrassment to the nation. It recognizes a sexist, racist monarchy and has no relevance to our people or our heritage of more than 40,000 years. The flag now reminds us that no Australian can hold the office of head of State for this position is reserved for only the non democratic, Anglican Royal family living in England. The flag represents our immaturity and lack of statehood.

I can't stand it when people throw back bullshit about diggers having ""fought under that flag".
They actually fought under the British flag, and first and foremost they fought to stay alive. They fought to get back home to their families...and to bring their mates back with them.
People who want to keep the imperial flag, I find, are either grossly misinformed about many facts or xenophobic.
