I don't understand why people say he's kicking the cat...you can plainly see he places his foot on the cat's body and pushes the cat away...this is NOT a kick...it's a PUSH people, my god

and i have a cat and love cats...but i don't think the cop was out of line. when my cat gets wild and starts to try and climb my leg or bites me i'll hook a foot under his belly and give him the heave-ho a few feet away. and he's fine...christ he come back for me b/c he thinks i'm playing with him!

I do cat rescues when possible, even if it is unlawful. Just so you know that if he really (kicked) that little sweetheart I would have had a fit along with alot of others, but he did not harm the poor thing, and it was doing all it could to push its furry little luck. But the officer handled it very well considering the fact he was being scratched up from head to toe!!!!

I hate animal abuse, but some people just get too carried away about it. I've done the little lift and toss maneuver on my cat before. If he went and kicked the cat like he was trying to make a field-goal then I'd be pretty pissed. The kitten probably wouldn't stay so warm towards him if it was actually harmed. Cats are resilient little animals anyway.

When I first saw this video on TV- they only showed the kick and a bit of the cat on his head. I thought the cop gave the kitty a swift kick. Seeing the entire video, it's fairly obvious that one of the moves was a lift and toss with the top foot, but the second one was a bit rough. Kitty OBVIOUSLY did not care, and came back for more cop-loving. Kitty likes it rough.
