My dog thinking he's going to the vet!

I took my Japanese Spitz, Kobi, for a drive to get petrol the other afternoon... He thought we were headed to the vet (only time we take him in that direction lol) and whined the whole way, poor bub!

My dog hid whenever anyone said the word vet, so we started spelling the V-E-T instead. Now my dog knows how to spell vet, because he hides when ever I say V-E-T.

That's why I try to take my dog for rides every so often, so she doesn't associate going for a ride with going to the vet. She does know where the vet is, though, and gets upset when I drive in that area.
