@cherrycloud11 u could pass her a note saying that u would like to talk to her about ur period or u could email her allso if u r willing u could say mom mabey we could have a girls day just me and u and on the day u could ask her about her period and start with that hope this helped cassie

Hi dancer...Please don't be concerned about when. Your body has to go thru so many things to prepare itself. Your breasts will grow, pubic hair, BO are all signs it is near. I started at 12, but I had many friends that started in high school. As late as our Junior year. All of that is normal. Find a discreet place in backpack to keep a pad and wait. When your mom started can be an indicator if you feel you can ask her. Thanks for your question.
