Excellent work, especially like the additions to the instrument panel/vision view bit.

The London exterior shots are brilliant, and the planet it cruises over very faithful to the original, brilliant work.

@borgduck bbc special effects in the 70's were terrible compared to what itv were doing with space 1999,originally george lucas was going to use same company brian johnson et all to do special effects for star wars but john dykstra convinced him to use americans.

The Actor playing the young piolt was also staring as Edas-in Doctor Who ''Underworld'' at the same time this was going out back in January 1978.

Did you do this?

You can try matching the frames per second of the live action footage (which I believe is 50fps in PAL) without reducing the length of the animation, then maybe add a bit of motion blur for believability.

The CG asteroid is great along with the superimposed scanner.
