Speaker Bass Responds to Special Election Results

(Sacramento) Californias Speaker of the State Assembly Karen Bass (D-Los Angeles) says voters sent a clear message to state officials with their defeat of the budget related measures on the special election ballot. Speaker Bass says she believes the Governor and lawmakers must now act quickly to solve the states financial crisis on their own. Speaker Bass says the national recession, which has hit California exceptionally hard, will make it even more difficult to find the right solutions to the state financial situation.
