  • The Rex was very beautiful and sleek, but why no photos of the Conte Di Savoia? Just as beautiful, and as unfortunate: another casualty of the war.

  • Conte di Savoia was not a war casualty. only lightly damaged, was scrapped postwar

  • what was that song?

  • I'd rather be the girl in your arms

    Jean Goldkette Orchestra 1924

    Bix Beiderbecke cornet

  • Poor Italy. She seem to have nothing but bad luck.

  • Thank you for letting the world know that the Italians made some very fine ships. I build ships out of toothpicks. Big ones. I am starting to build German, French and hopefully Itanian liners. Thanks for these great photos and inspirations. Also, Rome ROCKS!!!!! I enjoyed short stay there!

  • Great compilation of very fine vessels, shame they came to such sad ends. A very nice tribute indeed.

  • Italian liners have a habit of flipping over when sinking i always loved Italian liners
