This is the first in a series of three videos where Jú shares a heartfelt story about a group of youth (age 12-14 yrs old) from a favela (shantytown) in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil.

The youth organized a percussion band all by themselves, called "Boys of the Ghetto". Moved by how passionate these boys are about their music, Jú became an active supporter.

She encouraged the boys to stay on the right path by spending one-on-one time with them, discussing with them some of their challenges, and buying instruments for the group.

She also produced a DVD so the band could see the value of what they were doing, and have an opportunity to promote their work to others! Each youth received a copy.
