how to remove white screen of death and the connect to itunes logo!(also fixes many errors)

this will show you how i got out of my white screen of death while jailbreaking a..."shifty" version of 3.0. the update was odd in my case because it would load half then restart. turns out it was my ipod not being charged. haha im an idiot. but hope this helps alot of ppl with this issue. using itunes 8.2 and to restore firmware 3.0 in video.

This video is for iphones and ipod touches. for everyone asking about other ipods i dont know all the answers but to sum it up, beeps at start up are bad and they mean some hardware is broken (most likely hard drive/flash drive), white screens but hearing the interactive noises means cables are broken and hot ipods means fan (yes there is one) isn't working, battery is shot, or you havent turned the device off for a real long time.

@xGreedy1210x if your ribbon cable is broken the screen will always be white. U can hear the interactive noises but can't see it then yes ur ribbon cable is broke. Meaning the screen to motherboard cables broke

@j90120 that may be the ribbon cable from your screen to motherboard is broken. There isn't anything u can rly do

@julgi it is think. almost like an old IDE cable for hard drives in computers. the other is the power. when you have a white screen and you hear noises that means the thin data cable is broken. have it professionally fixed or get a new ipod/iphone. flamers keep in mind this is free help. remember i could not be helping.

it worked for me i just closed itunes then i opened it up and i did it at the same time that i restarted the ipod and it worked
