I live in the farm house by the Sunnyside on 47. In '96 the house or shop didn't get a drop. This one is said to be 3 ft. higher and there goes the wood pile and -- oops, there goes the Persian rug. Who Thought? I was rescued to higher ground for the night. Heartbreaking, but not as bad as many very sad stories. There is hope. Volunteers are piling on at Mt. Vernonia. Many Thanks....P.S.: Great footage, by the way. Hang in there -- we have pioneer spirit and we will make it better.

hi from ceres,ca i have been watching the news about the storms and i lived in scappoose until last year. my mother in law almost bought a home in vernonia, but went to westport instead and froze her ass off.
