Excerpt from the new documentary Frederick Hart: A Singular and Major Force.
The film, which contains a never-before-seen interview of American master sculptor Frederick Hart (1943-1999) from 1993, examining his career, the controversies surrounding his work and his legacy and influence on the next generation of artists,
This introductory section describes the figurative nature of Hart's work, and includes commentary by: Tom Wolfe, noted author; James Cooper, director of the Newington-Cropsey Cultural Studies Center and Editor of American Arts Quarterly; and Dana Gioia, former chair of the National Endowment for the Arts and current director of the Aspen Institute, among others.
Oprah999, I've noticed your one-dimensional, childish rants all over the web. Your comments, masquerading as a critique of art, are really just a very transparent attempt to hide your personal animosity. The unsophisticated and one-dimensional nature of your attack, lingers in stark contrast to the multi-dimensional and deeply spiritual renderings that represent Mr. Hart's vast body of work. You expose yourself as an individual with an agenda. You are completely without credibility.
