@wolfxandxspice you are so wrong. Bernstein's original score, is this one. The movie was adapted FROM the score not the other way around.

If only the music was actually reflected from the original movie. I dont like this whole spin off that you have. I'm sure the actors would've done a fine job however

I am a Casting Director in New York who happened upon this video par chance. How lucky to have three boys who could do really fine performances in these very difficult roles...in Minnesota..and in HS! Bravo!

ericbach1993 is correct. Bernstein wrote this during the early 1940's. The movie came out in 1949, mainly as a vehicle to showcase Gene Kelly and Frank Sinatra. Only a few of the original Broadway songs made it into the movie. Some new songs, pretty lame ones, were added to the film. Even the title song was adulterated: the lyrics were changed from "hell of a town" to "wonderful town" in order to satisfy the censors.
