Yeah, it's pretty sad that people aren't doing more to promote a hydrogen economy. But I think most of the proudced hydrogen goes to industry in producing fertilisers and chemicals and not for power sources
ok kids lets remember physics, y a balloon pops? because it has no hole for the oxigen to escape, and from the pressure the balloon rips, but if you put a normal valve into a car it will work perfectly.
The U.S. produces 9 million tons of Hydrogen per year, enough to fill half a million Hindenburgs and lift everyone in North and South America off the ground at once. Plenty of hydrogen, but no H economy.
I was able to produce a small amout of hydrogen from water with a DC source. I used 6 volts at 1.5 amps. It was crude, but it worked. With more refinement, someone can do much better. I'm now thinking of using solar power. Wish me luck and I'll keep in touch.
