How do you get the rights and sheet music to this song? I would like to perform it and a local competition.

Well, we performed the entire show, so we just paid for the full performance rights and materials. I would suggest contacted the Rodgers & Hammerstien Musical Library, as they hold the rights and might be willing to let you perform the song for a lower rate or possibly even free (some licensing companies will waive a performance fee if you just do a piece of the work for a performance where admission isn't charged). As for the sheet music, I *think* it's in the vocal selections that are out.

Neither of the girls' parts are very high. They usually max out around a D (the one on the staff, no the one above it), although there is a high B in "He Called Me" that's used for comic effect. But for this song, the girl doesn't need to sing that high.
