River was beautifully played in this episode. I seriously got a bad taste in my mouth after this. Talk about the STORY not how much a particular character annoys you.

@screewee128 True. But we know about the Time War, and all the adventures he's had with companions. There's nothing wrong with a mysterious character like the Doctor, as we're supposed to see him through the companions' eyes, but the way other characters are portrayed just makes them annoying and frustrating.

I like River Song but I do agree that the episode should have been a bit more about Hitler. It annoyed me that he was shut in a closet and we were forced to just forget about him :/

Ive always been a River fan but OMFG did this episode blow it up to a whole new level. The Mel as River thing was just brilliant. OMG I hope theyre all like this one. At first I thought Mel was annoying but by the end I loved it. The timey wimey stuff held up to the standard. Loved that Amy thought Rory was gay ha! oh I loved it and the Martha Donna Rose Throwback was cool(although SJ shouldve been in there) :^)

I used to hate River but now I've made a complete 180 and I adore her. I understand where you're coming from, but I love that she is so different for the sow that normal companion set ups and story lines. I also think that she's a badass. I didn't used to feel this way, but ever since TIme of Angels I've grown to like her.
