Cool.. I was 11 when that video was shot. I used to "live" at the beach baths... played at the misers hill and broad hill Good memories.. You could see the dons play from the misers hill

Fantastic video!! I would love to see the quarry getting used for something nowadays. Tourist attraction? Back in the granite business? Public swimming pool?!

@OfficialChrisBurke Public swimming pool? I understand the quarry is over 400 feet deep. Would be a good diver training facility or even a proving ground for underwater robotic vehicles. Aberdeen as an oil rig base is well placed here. I never went back to Rubislaw since then and was surprised to learn of the quarry's "fate". Thanks for the comments though.
