Dave Matthews Band plays Kind Intentions during the 2/5/94 soundcheck.

The song was never played at a show although a studio version did appear on a demo CD. A song called "Me and Her" which was only played once in Georgia a few months later had similar chords and probably was related to Kind Intentions.

  • It was taped and circulated a long time ago. Fairly common among lossless SHN/FLAC DMB bootleg traders. Google search "dreamingtree DMB" to find a good site for legal bit torrent downloads of recorded DMB shows.

  • I couldn't think of a better way to spend 9 minutes of my life....just sitting, swaying, eyes close, listening to this magic!

  • by the way, this is a good song to back up what im talking about. the simple 1,2,3,4,5,6 of the guitar over and over again with just simple melodies of the violin and sax hovering around it, with carter and stephan making sure all the soldiers keep marching. because of this little simple merry go round, dave is almost lost in some kind of soulfull chant just about the entire song. not very thought provoking, but they sure do paint one hell of a beautiful picture.......

  • Love this song. Instantly changes my mood every time I hear it (reflective, somber, and deep). Boyd & Roi are great on this.

  • @crashxn2me Agreed, that's my favorite part too.

  • This band can turn emotion into music with impossible delicacy... god I love them.

  • This song is on dvd Bonnaroo Festival, 2008, before starting the show. It's fantastic! Wonderful!

I fell in love when I first heard...

  • These early songs are so dark, but I love for it. Takes the mind to places it might not go.

  • the people that put all these rare dave tunes up, cheers to you. you complete my nights

  • @majhrzu thumbs up for your phrasing

  • @tarasonnenberg71 You're right I agree accept the eyes close part. I like seeing Dave on the pictures a lot :-)

  • having made this post 11 months ago, I wonder if you have changed your mind about which cd holds you closest??? I agree with pickmeuptaylor. remember two things, under the table, beyond these crowded, busted stuff are just plain raw dmb jams. check out the song "me and her". it was my wedding song and it is just awesome.

  • Great Boyd! Why on new album his violn is hidden :(
