Search and Rescue dog -works a Scent Cone-

Boudica (dog) is air scenting to find me. She keeps her nose in the air and works the 'scent cone', an invisible cone of debris, like skin rafts, which carries fresh human scent. It's called a cone because the source of the scent (me) that gets wider with distance from me. The wind is carrying my scent about 100m this day, and remember, the dog can't see me until the very end. Boudica is a trained Recall/Refind dog with a tug. She returns to her Handler and bites a special ball that hangs from her Handler's waist before Refinding me with Handler in tow.
