Little Alvin The Miracle Kitty ♥

a female cat gave birth to 3 kittens, or so was thought...

the 3 small kittens could be seen curiously playing in and around a small pile of construction debris until one day...

a forth kitten appeared....
unlike the others; she was named alvin....

there sat alvin in the green grass her silky black fur glistened in the sun as she gazed up at her new world...
alvin was an almost sad specimen for she was so very tiny and motionless...
she was left sitting alone by her mother and her siblings....
a predators easy prey, alvin was rescued from a certain death....

after a week i observed alvin having difficulty relieving herself... (both urinating and passing stool)
first trip to my vets revealed nothing via x-ray... a remedy was given (i use a holistic vet) and alvin was back home with me soon passing stool....
another week had passed and once again alvin's problems began....
it was then determined that she must be opened up to see what was causing the blockage...

i now was faced with two choices.... surgery or put alvin to sleep...
the choice was a no brainer.... euthanasia was sure death, where as surgery held hope...
the surgery was risky indeed considering alvins age (only 5 weeks)
the anesthesia alone could cause her death...

the operation was a success and it was discovered that alvins uterus was attached to her colon and twisted about...
the majority of her colon was removed....
she also had stool in her the size of a dogs stool and 48-cc's of urine was extracted....
my vet could not believe alvin had survived to this point and said she was meant to be here with me...

alvin is now doing very well and maturing but not growing so far...
she is extrodinary small (1.7lbs) and could easily give the word runt a new meaning....
she is now 3.5 months old and is the size of a 5 week old kitten... this is alvin's story so far...

the name alvin is normally reserved for he and not she.... but it is her name and so shall it be....

We had a kitten who was 8 weeks old, and the size of a week old kitten.

He was a rotten little thing. He was doing very well, but then his brother (who was normal size) got sick.

The vet we were taking him to, put him on antibiotics as a 'precaution' to prevent him from getting sick.

They overdosed him because they didn't think he should live.

We never paid for that vet bill to this day.

If only we could have afforded to take him to a better vet. :(

What a cute little sweetheart Alvin is. I have a black kitten that could pass for her twin. Her name is Angel. I found her at the refinery where I work. No mama cat or siblings anywhere around, but Angel loves to play with her toys, run around the house and sleep in bed. It looks like Alvin is leading a good life now too. God bless you for taking her in.

Hhhahahaha...too cute...and funny.=) To bad cats cant stay that small...I would love to have a minature kitty...would b to adorable.
