The New York Times traced Michelle Obama's five generation path from slavery to the White House. Harry Smith spoke to Megan Smoleyak the genealogist who uncovered the first lady's family tree.

@TexadaArmsted I don't consider brown people black. Obama isn't either though, he's a pasty grey. Every American with slave roots that has ANY European characteristics is mixed. Just go down to the low lands of SC and there you will find a black person; there is very little to NO mix of white ancestry in them. They are also very connected to their African culture.

Megan Smolneyak is a corporate genealogist. I have blogged on this cow. She once attended a ceremony for a fallen soldier and got a photo accepting her flag. Then I found photos from the same event with her doing FASHION poses as if the flag accepting was part of just a gig for her. She does this for fame and profit, not to honor our ancestors. She is a phony bitch!
