I go to Chinatown a lot. It's a tourist trap full of crap, but that's what makes it so much fun. Good, cheap food and stores full of cheap crap. You can find a lot of cool & "interesting" stuff to buy, as I demonstrate in this video.
Chinatown is an easy uphill jaunt from the Embarcadero BART station, and located next North Beach. Perfect!
