I remember this game. most of the action in the south end zone, me in the upper deck north end zone. Lost my voice by the end of the 1st quarter. Hell of a game, hell of a year and we should have beaten Ohio St.

Yes, Husker fans are some of the best in college football. Will all of us giving it to them, me included, they only tipped their hat in respect and let us enjoy.

@Rafa38 The 77 points you scored on ASU the year before adds even more to the significance of the upset in 1996...yet you seem to think it takes away the impact of that game cause of "a lot" of missing people...odd. Also if you knew ANYTHING about college football history, you would know that ASU has had much bigger wins in their history than this (1 Rose Bowl, 5 Fiesta Bowls...one of them over Nebraska...) Husker fan here, I remember this game. Getting shut out in the season opener after whipping Florida for the Natl Championship? Unbelievable. I think we all forgot what losing felt like.

Arizona State had a great game and a great season with great football players. Too bad they didn't knock off Ohio State to cap off one of the greatest cinderella college football seasons of all team. I remember that night well and ASU earned every first down and every point on that scoreboard. Nebraska played like absoulte crap so to my fellow Husker fans talking shit here. STFU! Accept it. @Rafa38 I used to be a long haul truck driver. I have been through both states. Trust me when I tell you this-Arizona has ULTIMATE SCOREBOARD on Nebraska. Nebraska is completely flat and it takes forever to get from one side to the other. AZ has much better scenery. You really don't have any right to run smack on much of anybody. Aside that not excuses , fact.. Your team returned most of the starters from the 77-28 thrashing. We should have scored like 4 times , were inside your 20 I believe 4 times,turnovers miss field goals oppurtunities . Bitching that asshole U still thinks this happened yesterday.
