Ex-Vancouver Canucks' general manager Dave Nonis made his first appearance before the Vancouver sports media on April 16, two days after he was fired by owner Francesco Aquilini. Nonis said he did no wrong, despite his team missing the Stanley Cup playoffs twice in his three-year term.
He was a pretty horrible judge of talent.

He was a good GM. There wasn't a lot he could do a during trade deadline. We can see that his reluctance to trade our good young players was the right decision considering there weren't any great deals out there during his tenure. Raymond, Hansen and Edler are all showing their worth now. And they're way cheaper than any players he could've traded in.
