This project concerns the manufacture of a ground robot, which moves on flat surfaces and has the ability to draw the track of its movement on the flat surface on which it moves.
The robot is connected via the parallel port (LP1) to the computer, by which it is guided with the execution of a special software program, which has been designed especially for this robot and consists part of the project. This software executes a command simulation environment of the LOGO programming language. Thus, the user guides the robot by the computer and has the ability to watch the track of the robot on the floor and on his screen, as well, via the software simulation environment.
The robot makes four basic movements:
• Forward movement
• Backward movement
• Right rotation around itself
• Left rotation around itself
While, also, it has the ability to put the pen on the floor or remove the pen from the floor.
At the present research stage the possibility of writing a text on the ground is offered
