This is the fan kata. The REAL fan kata done the way Sensei Yamamoto's Father taught it to my sensei. This is me performing it at one of your tounaments as a demo.

It looks gay to you because you are going on teh stereotype of women + Fan. Samurai used fan all the time and if you look at paintings of the old masters they usually are holding either or both a fan and/or master text.

This is amazing! i love the technique, you hardly see this form anywhere and good choice on the fan. Its to show the swift movements and gracefullness of this form. I approve!

@xINVISIGOTHx Pretty sure the war fan was used as a quick defense against swords. In addition to that samurai's carried fans for the purpose of cooling themselves and defense in a pinch. .

I think an enemy samurai with a sword would just laugh at the fan guy and then cut him in half

@krussidulen1234 yes it does look weird but many many guys have done fans because its a actual weapon and they are very sharp but I agree it does look gay...lol I do fans for compatition
