both genshiken and NHK pwn the more popular "otaku" anime like lucky star and the meloncholy of haruhi suzu...blah blah miya in my humble opinion

well welcome to the N.H.K is not the best cause i have seen plenty of other animes this past month and i would highly recommend you Mushi-shi.this anime is like a masterpiece if you need links just reply me.

It's sort of a matter of opinion to say what the best is. I say Genshiken is the best that deals with Otakus. I love Genshiken but it's not my absolute favorite, mine is Metropolis the movie. It's all about preference.
