Enjoy the sermon.

"And straightway, when they were come out of the synagogue, they came into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John. Now Simon's wife's mother lay sick of a fever; and straightway they tell him of her: and he came and took her by the hand, and raised her up; and the fever left her, and she ministered unto them. And at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto him all that were sick, and them that were possessed with demons. And all the city was gathered together at the door. And he healed many that were sick with divers diseases, and cast out many demons; and he suffered not the demons to speak, because they knew him. And in the morning, a great while before day, he rose up and went out, and departed into a desert place, and there prayed. And Simon and they that were with him followed after him; and they found him, and say unto him, All are seeking thee." Mark 1:29-37

  • @samsonvide0s "all the body of Christ will be together for the first time in history"

    A bit late, isn't it?

Jesus said that his disciples would have unity,

a fruit of the Spirit was supposed to be unity,

Jesus prayed that his people would have unity

and 2,000 years later the church is split

    into 40,000 mutually hostile denominations

and the divisions continue to grow.

I'm afraid it's just one more

in a long, long string of broken promises.

  • @Imaginefree69 "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away."

    -Luke 21:33

  • @Imaginefree69 Cup of crucifixion prayer:

"nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.

    Matthew 26:39

My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.

    John 18:36

"In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness."

    -Hebrews 9:22

  • God`s kingdom will come, His Will shall be done, and all the body of Christ will be together for the first time in history, will you be there?

Oh and yes the Lord Jesus Christ was crucified, defeating the world, death ,hell, and satan. but the answer to every argument youve posted is this: TIME

Because God so loved the world He has given us at least 2000 years as a period of Grace, where sinners are being saved everyday by a Savior who loved me and gave Himself for me.

  • God also wants all men to be saved. The reason you`re not saved (if you`re not), is not God. The reason is you.

The Lord Jesus expressed His desires. This proved that His desire to please His Father was greater than His desire to please His flesh. Hence, the work accomplished to save a sinner even as self centered and rebellious as I.

The cup did pass from Him...when He drank it on your behalf.

  • Did you realize that even Jesus' prayers were not answered? He prayed that the cup of crucifixion would pass from him, that God's will would be done on earth, that God's kingdom would come, and that his followers would be "one" even as he and his father were one. But he was crucified, Satan is still the god of this world, and his followers have split into nearly 40,000 (forty thousand!) official denominations, each of which thinks it has the truth and that all others are in error. Wow.
