You have to remember that when they say "modern technology" or "modern agriculture" they mean OIL. Oil is used to run every part of modern society, from the petrochemical fertilizer used to grow modern agriculture to the distribution network for the food.

Exactly when the oil will run out cannot be determined, but it doesn't even have to run out to disrupt the whole world. It merely has to become too expensive.

I believe the whole overpopulation thing is all about stopping us from caring about others so we dont speak out against things that would cost governments money. So we have a US over THEM state of mind. And they would use FEAR of overpopulation to do this. This way they can go to iraque kill whoever and take oil. Then they could get Diamonds cheap from africa etc its all about Resource's and MONEY and noone would care because of the US over THEM theory. Just think!

Haha they forgot to mention that wars are caused by overpopulation. We have limited resources on this planet and when there is more people competing for these limited resources, there seems to be problems for some reason. A good example would be oil and the war in Iraq.

@grey9438 - summary: show me the alternative energies *working* before banking on them to feed your kids. otherwise they face a fight to the death to be amongst the 0.5-2billion survivors.
