Giant Home Made Solar Balloon

We made a hot air balloon from 26 giant wheelie bin bags taped together with parcel tape and inflated it using a desktop electric fan. this is the result we should have chosen a better day as it was a little to windy and we needed some sun on test 2 we plan to do it in a less confined space on a sunny day and will let the thing go, any questions please contact me

Oh - I tried this again. I had it much more thought out, and just as big, but when we flew it it didn't go well with the wind, and it's in the bin now. I really did want to make it go but it just didn't happen.

I will be making another (smaller) within the next few weeks, finding the good weather to do it with. Will be filmed (properly)

shame i lost that one

because i spent about 2 weeks building a 20 ft cube... and it is now mistakingly in the bin

so that second video didnt happen.

but i might build one again.. if i have the time

how are these dangerous? there just floating bag's there's no fire, helium, or any other source of power except the sun and if it did get sucked into a jet it wouldn't do a thing because jet engine's are made pacifically to not malfunction if like 20 bird's get sucked into it so a balloon wouldn't do anything

dont be such a tool. we didn't make a video of the second flight, id did fly, over all the houses in my street, ripped down someones tv ariel, went accross a main road and landed in a gigantic tree.
