You cannot make a true gulyás unless it's over an open flame in a metal crock. Neither gulyásleves nor gulyás pörkölt uses noodles! Omit. She never even mentions using the paprika! Omit most of the water. Use a mix of 1/2 and 1/2 pork and beef chunk and cut the pieces smaller. Actually use the paprika (no clue what majoram is - not marjoram!). Cook the meat prior to adding the onions or else they will have burned before the meat is cooked. You will need more than 3 tbsp of oil. Mince the garlic.

@blondecat666 Tényleg bele kell kötni egy olyan receptbe, amit valószínűleg minden háznál máshogy csinálnak?
Én is szoktam némi paradicsomot tenni a pörkölt alapba, nekünk úgy ízlik a legjobban. Mástól hallottam a paprikát is hozzá adni, de engem speciel nem zavar. Ha nekik így ízlik a legjobban...
És akkor arról már ne is beszéljünk, hogy sokan disznó hússal készítik a marha helyett.

@johnafer Dear John,
I'm Hungarian and trust me, this is the real goulas SOUP! :)
What you propably ment under main meal stew is the Goulash (without the word Soup).
So we have two meals under the (almost) same English name but in Hungarian we have a completely different word for it: pörkölt. :)

It's amazing how different this version is to the American version! I should change my dish that I call Goulash to something like beef macaroni or something because it doesn't come close to what goulash should be! I would have loved to have seen the finished product served up in a serving size to see what it would have looked like complete. Thanks for the video!
