השב לסרטון זה...
AGAIN, negotiations are the ONLY answer. But with the Palestinians fighting amongst themselves and either refusing to acknowledge Israel or outright calling for its destruction, there's not much Israel can do, is there?
But I already asked this, and you don't have an answer because you know I'm right about this - even if we disagree on everything else.

And there's a REASON I didn't mention Arafat - he WAS a terrorist to begin with, there are video records of this, and he was party to the murders of hundreds of Israelis. I do believe he changed his mind in the end, though, just like Sharon. I don't have to like him or forgive him to admit that.
NO democratic nation is under constant threat, or has its civilan population routinely bombed. They're not invading anything, they're protecting civilians from violent militant groups.

Gaza was closed off b/c Hamas was elected democratically&promptly began to murder all opposing activists and politicians in Gaza. Israel had to contain it, keep it from attacking her. Also Sharon has nothing to do with the EGYPTIAN BORDER being closed after Hamas was elected, which is what REALLY locked down Gaza.
The only ones to blame for this situation are the ones who refuse to negotiate, who openly seek to destroy the other side rather than talk - and those are the Palestinians.

Trust me, this conflict will not end n there will be no peace the day comes. Hopefully there are more people like Rabin n these Doctors, enough to vote justly to stop settlements n peace for a two state solution !
-
@goldtintedspecs It was the "terrorist" Arafat who made peace with Rabin for a two state solution. Sharon went out of Gaza and made it the LARGEST PRISON the world has ever seen. Should we thank him for that ? You said it yourself "they'd frozen construction in settlements for TEN MONTHS, against the opinion of their voters," does that make all those voter culpable of OCCUPATION ?
NO proclaimed democratic Nation today leads invasion of countries other then US n Israel.

Lastly - I wish Israel had someone like Rabin to lead us now. Our current leaders may be somewhat less inspired, true, but Rabin was never politically faced with such a crazy situation. The Palestinians have TWO governments, each with its own army faction, who are FIGHTING EACH OTHER. One of those governments swore to annihilate Israel(Hamas charter). The other is unwilling to recognize its right to exist(Fatah policy).
HOW is Israel meant to make peace with that? You tell me.
-
Also you might notice that it is almost exclusively "right-extremist" governments in Israel that make the most significant steps toward peace - Begin was a right-wing man who signed the peace treaty with Egypt. Sharon was a right-wing man who retreated from Gaza.
There is a saying among us left-wing Israelis that is sad, but true - only the right-wing govt can make peace, b/c they won't have to fight the opposition for it.

First, I don't support Likud OR Beiteinu, BUT they'd frozen construction in settlements for TEN MONTHS, against the opinion of their voters, to get (one of) the Palestinian government(s) to the negotiation table. This is something NO left-wing govt in Israel has ever done. Abu Mazen refused to talk for almost all that time, only accepting about 3 weeks before the freeze was scheduled to end, demanding to extend the freeze. There was NO WAY to justify that to the Israelis.
what do you think is zionist propaganda? There ARE people helping Palestinians.
