Well, this video is only applicable for the iBook G4 Mid 2005. If you have kernel panic, I advise you to reinstall the system, or to swap the memory. Maybe try to swap the Airport card.

Thanks simonhead666, well this trick is still working, and I do it to the people I know, and we never had any problem with it...

Don't worry about it, I can speak english ;)

I used just an half of a Letter Paper, folded many times still it fits for the Airport. Then you can enjoy it.

I have an iBook G4 that has the multi-language error screen saying that i need to restart my computer. This usually occurs either when i boot it up, or when i try to access the internet. What should I do?

Hello, from USA. I just finished this repair on iBook that kernel panicked every time it was turned on (if it ever got past the dark shade and black 'restart' box). Fingers crossed, but it seems to be working fine, now. I don't speak French, but your video is very easy to understand. I, too, cannot believe a simple piece of paper is the solution. sorry i don't speak any french but i think i could understand what to do from the visuals... just wondering if this is a high risk adventure or really, there's nothing i can screw up too much?

also if i do this, does that mean my airport will work fine (for a while, at least)

at the moment i can run internet off the ethernet cable but it'd be great to get airport back.
