With Katherine of Aragon dead, pregnant Anne Boleyn felt she's on the edge of a golden world... Tragically, she spoke too soon...

  • Hope Anne enjoyed that party. Just nineteen weeks after Katherine's death Anne's head was on the block.

  • HE respects you no longer, anne.

  • I love her hair in this scene! It felt so empty when Natalie was gone from the Tudors :(

  • it was nineteen weeks, proving this scene was off..its too warm for january.

  • i luv her hair, so beautiful how its weaved like a basket.

  • @theladyeternal Remember, back then they thought women couldn't rule, so naturally Henry thought he needed a son above all else whether it hurt his current wife's heart or not

  • @theladyeternal i think what she means by "old" is that KoA was too old to have any more children and in a lot situations the king must divorce a wife if he still doesn't have a son and she can't give him one. King Louis XII of France's wife Joan of France couldn't give him a son so he divorced her for Anne Duchess of Brittany.

  • @serenadool: I agree with everything you said :))

  • @alyismyname999 So it's permissible to be a homewrecker if the wife is older than the man you're seducing? No way that's what you meant. And casting messed up the age difference. Maria is 13yrs older than JRM, & JRM is 5yrs older than Natalie. IRL, KoA was 5.5yrs older than Henry & Henry was btw 10-16yrs older than Anne, depending on which DOB you believe for her. It's disputed whether she was born in 1501 or 1507. Either way, tho, Henry & Anne weren't agemates; he & KoA were.

  • @summergirlx17 The big difference btw Anne & Jane was the publicness & ramifications of their respective affairs. Anne's seduction of Henry didn't just affect his marriage to KoA. It affected the religious security people'd had all their lives, & Anne was very open about her designs. Jane was much quieter about her involvement w/ Henry & his affair w/ her saw a swing back towards the practices people were used to. Not back to Catholicism, but closer to what they'd always known.

  • @summergirlx17 Also i can't blame jane because i'm still so pissed off at henry!Henry loved anne so passionately. he did extreme things to show that love and then when he decided that he's tired of her (which i don't get because how can anyone be tired of that amazing girl?) he let himself believe false rumors and its off with her head. To make things worse he marries jane who i think is the epitome of boring compared to anne and claims he never loved anne but it was just a "spell"? what a jerk!

  • @summergirlx17 i don't think that's necessarily fair. I mean anne is my absolute favorite out of all the characters on the show. Her character was just so epic and strong and briliant. But Jane didn't really do anything horrible. I'm not a big jane because she replaced anne in the series. But still it wasnt jane's fault. Things changed after anne. The king became more powerful and a woman probably could not say no to him otherwise theyd die.
