A four part song which is quite easy to learn each part but when put together makes something very interesting. Written by Nikomo it's very popular with many natural voice folk choirs - our singers like singing this by rivers in the Lake District.
The words are:
"I am a river flowing to the ocean,
I am a river passing through this land.
Flow like a river, flow like a river, flow like a river, passing through this land."
In the second part the basses sing "Flow like a river flows, flow like a river flows, flow like a river, passing through this land."
The altos sing: "Flow like a river, flow like a river, like a river, passing through this land."
The sopranos (tune) and tenors sing the same words: "Flow like a river (x3) passing through this land."
Thanks for singing the parts for us. I came across Devonly Choir singing this and thought I'd like to teach it to my choir. You've just made that so much easier. Cheers
