  • @NewbVeronica kanata is so frickin' hot. makes me wanna watch this even though i know i'll be freaked out later.

  • this is soooo awesomeeeee. I WANT TO WATCH. didnt know there was a movie for this manga!! <333333

  • I have this available on Netflix. And I've read the manga.

I don't think I wanna watch it, though. If I remember well, it got a little pessimistic and moody. You know, goth without the weird makeup.

  • hes so hot.

  • somehow i think the manga went along faster then the movie, but damn kanata is insanely hot.

  • @AutumnMystry *pt. 2*... particularly if you've read the original novel, but that's the basic description. I recommend the novel first, because sooo much is left out of both the movie & the manga (although they're great too & I do recommend them as well.)

  • @LoverGothicGaaraKai His pen name is Otsuichi (given name is Hirotaka Adachi) & he's one of the most brilliant authors ever (at least in my opinion.) My personal favorite. Goth's plot involves a couple of teenagers who are obsessed with the macabre & they find a notebook which belonged to a local serial killer. Instead of turning it over to the cops as evidence, they decide to keep it & watch whatever unfolds. The story is actually more complex than that ... *see pt. 2 of comment*

  • @lapisdianne She does resemble Enma Ai, but this story really isn't like that of Jigoku Shoujo.

  • @blackdelphinium No. The book they find has no special powers, but belongs to a serial killer. Instead of turning this book over to the police, they decide to wait & see what happens. I won't say more since I don't want to spoil the rest of the plot for anyone.

  • @boolala12344 Mine too! I highly recommend this movie if you haven't seen it. A lot from the novella was left out, but for the most part it's true to the story (& the actress even looks exactly like the character she's portraying, right down to the mole under her eye!) This was the 1st of Otsuichi's works I read & I've been a major fangirl of his stories ever since.
