@punknnerd2:why do you have to say nasty things and disparage other performers like Ruthie Henshall and Susan Boyle just because they sang the same song. Are you so very fearful that people will realize that Ruthie owns this song and her rendition of this song is much better? Nakkakahiya kung sakaling Pinoy ka.

@thewarrior119 why did she have to sing it twice?

@HappyThoughtsToU yes...was my first trip to the west end at the theatre royal and opera house...what a place..then i saw this girl and heard her sing...! Miss Saigon, amazing musical, amazing unique performance....

Please stop those comparison and don't talk about race.Just enjoy listening to her melodious voice. Each singer has her own right.I like Susan's voice too.Thank you.

@keithleon1977 Don't mention other actors (such as Ruthie Henshall) who are BENEATH Lea Salonga in the same sentence. Henshall's competition is with SUSAN BOYLE, who is like 50 million times more popular than Henshall and whose version of I dreamed A Dream has more audiences in the United Kingdom taking interest than Henshall's overrated performance. Salonga's recent portrayal of Frantine has led critics to dub her THE legendary Fantine, esp after the 25th anniv concert.

Indeed, it's amazing to see how Salonga has grown into the role of Fantine: from this moment prior to her Broadway stint (she had just started studying Hugo's book thoroughly for correct characterization), to her informed and spectacular performance at the 25th anniversary in October 2010 that showed her ACTING & VOCAL SUPERIORITY over the great Patti Lupone and the much-overrated Ruthie Henshall. It's no surprise that critics have given her a new title!
