@Hadamona 1ks all day long with the right batt. on 90 alt. I did it for years and ran 145's consistently. 5k on the other hand your talking blown mosfets and capacitors which is ruffly a 300 and some dollar rebuild every time you do that. Which for that kind of money Id prefer just buying the nice batt. for round $300, one up front and one in the truck an not blow the amp.. but you can do what you want.. O yeah, it's an amplifier, not generator.. takes current to amplify an equal power!

@Hadamona I wouldn't even hook up a 5k amp to that. You will burn it all up. Even 1k is too much for what you have.

I'll soon be running 5kw on stock 90a alt and one batt lol, makes me think I'll need to upgrade :)

I would not suggest doing that, the battery works with the alternator and the alternator works with the battery (they go hand in hand)
