Seriously, you can take A LOT of "science" with a grain of salt. Especially in new and uncharted areas such as brain functioning.
Even with conditions such as depression, and even suicidalness it has been theorised that similar to homosexuality, we are predisposed to such conditions.
It does not make it natural, or normal, however, you must learn to control your desires, it may be a hundred years before they advance far enough to work out how to solve the problem..

@Scrige Yes, I understand that. I was using the other slang term "homo" as a contra...never mind.
What's wrong though, is disorder or not, there is increasing evidence that not only are people born with it, but even after various forms of treatment, it just doesn't go away. This is unlike depression, or schizophrenia all of which can be treated (and thus the effects lessened). So, what do you suggest I should do (a gay man)? Get help or take meds - both with having no effect?
-
@WorldPhoenix1 I'm sorry I'm going to have to call you on your ignorance there..
"Homo" is a latin word meaning "same", the name was not coined to align with the word homosexual, it is the other way around.
Homosexuality is a disorder, and there is no possible explanation that indicates otherwise. Homosexuality is being embraced as a "culture" and a "lifestyle", which is absurdly wrong.
-
@Scrige Yet, homophobia and the violence and hatred that stems from it has only been observed in one species - homo sapiens. Odd that our species names begins with "homo", yet we're the only one seemingly against it. All other species live in unison with homosexual members.
The only unfortunate thing is that people who identify as straight feel their gay counterparts are less than them, and that we as a society let that happen. All humans should be treated equal regardless of opinion.
-
@WorldPhoenix1 You fail to realize that other species have sexual disorders too.
Just because it happens doesn't mean it's meant to.
Society has just become more accepting/permissive in regards to homosexuality, as unfortunately it has with a lot of other things too..

@lollypoplolly20 Go talk to a gay person. Any of them will tell you that they were born gay. Do your research before actually commenting. ALL gay men say they've always been gay.
-
@lollypoplolly20 Sorry. I never remember being attracted to a woman. Ever. I remember having a boy crush on a classmate in grade 6. Don't tell me I chose to be gay then.

@Scrige What about where it's observed in over 250 other species found in nature? You're obviously falsely stating that you're "just stating nature". Because it happens there too.
@15godfather1 You've gotta be kidding me. So you're saying, homophobes only exist because ever single gay person "can't shut up about being gay"? Fail. I am gay & do not "flaunt" it or whatever you're thinking. You probably don't even know a gay person, probably just generalizing. If homophobia didn't exist, there would be no need for gay pride or gay rights because we'd already be treated equally, which is all we want.

@15godfather1 Yet again, you continue to make stupid statements. Are you trying to say that i'm gay because i was "raised" by or around gay people? Let me say it again, YOU DON'T "BECOME" GAY. And most gay people are RAISED BY HETEROSEXUAL PARENTS. Same thing for gay parents, their kids turn out heterosexual, look up vids about it & you will see for yourself. Your parents' sexuality does not change your child's. You just need to learn how to get over your homophobia.
