On Friday, September 16, The Furman men's basketball team hosted its 13th Annual Paladin Basketball Golf Classic, at the Furman University Golf Club.
The event, which helps raise money for the men's basketball program, saw 90 golfers tie off in a captain's choice tournament with a shotgun start. Stax's Original Restaurant provided a pre-tournament boxed lunch, and a post-tournament dinner catered by Adam's Bistro was served at the Ellison Pavilion.
Prizes were awarded to the top three finishers, closest to the pin and longest drive. Head basketball coach Jeff Jackson and staff enjoyed the fellowship and golf with our fans.
Furman returns one starter and eight letterwinners from a 2010-11 squad that posted a 22-11 record, reached the semifinals of the SoCon Tournament and earned a berth in the CollegeInsider.com Tournament.
Season tickets go on sale online on Monday September 19 at 10 am on Furman Paladins.com
